Junior Retreat
Our junior retreat has just finished and I decided to talk and post something about it. To be honest, I wasn't really excited for it because my mind was focused on something else. After a tiring morning in school, there was a letter given to us students to be reminded about the retreat. When I saw the theme of our retreat... my heart pounded a bit faster than it normally does. The theme was "Reflecting God's Glory". How nice. I thought to myself. The theme was definitely straightforward and it was something that would greatly leave an impact on the students. As we, Christians follow God and be like God, He should be reflected on us. People around us should see that Christ is in us. That He has made a change. That's why it's reflecting God's glory.

It's a great theme because as I've observed most of the students, even myself, fail to continuously and gradually make people see Christ in us because of the sins We've done and are doing. Also, one of the usual problems we have in this aspect is that some of us Christians claim that we are Christians but it just doesn't show in our personalities and lifestyles. I suddenly felt a jolt of joy inside me as I thought to myself what an opportunity this retreat was for me and the other students who don't have a strong relationship with God. This can be a great bridge and union between those students. As for me, this was an experience that God perfectly planned for me to learn and grow more.

The retreat went swiftly as there were chosen junior students to lead the praise and worship. God anointed a few seasoned teachers and a very open-minded pastor to share with us the messages. It was successful although I cannot say that all of the junior students' have been touched by God but I can say that there were plenty that really were moved and touched by God. Especially when I saw a few of us shed tears and bow down to our God as the praise and worship was happening. The place was pretty cold but the warmth of God's arms were around us. His protection was there until the end.

I hope and pray that this retreat has changed and will change a lot of the junior students' and that God would unceasingly and effectively move in our lives and show his glory to us that We also may reflect the glory He has done in our lives.

I will post some of the pictures in the next post.
